Home sweet home here i come!!!

HOORAY! Aahahaa.. finally the day has come for my exams to end n for me to go home! Can't believe 1 year in aussie has just flown by like that.. time sure flies! To all my frens to knw me, I'll b returning home on 16th nov, wednesday. Yes.. But i shall be going to canberra again on 10 dec for my sister's graduation.. Packing up stuff now.. tons to pack n store.. N have to wait till end of nov for results.. Hope it won't be too terrible.. Haha.. Yupz, going back home ald.. Won't b able to come online often when home, so this might b my last blog of the year! Erm, mayb not. Haha.. Happy holidays! To those of u who r still having exams, stand strong and continue to do yr best! It ain't over till it's really over! Gambate!!

Haha.. Had such a fun time today.. talking in uni with frens.. instead of studying Haha.. but it's ok.. last day of the semester ald tmrw.. time sure files when u r having "fun".. Hee hee. Can't believe i'm gonna be i second year soon.. time seems to go by so slow in the beginning, but then suddenly goes to light speed. Even a physics student like me can't understand y.. Hmm. Yupz, exams r drawing closer by the day, but I am not too worried, probably coz I ald endured last sem. I knw the exam hall and conditions. So less anxious. Hope I do well though.. Wish everyone smooth sailing ahead! but for now, it's FULL steam ahead! Mus jia you!!!

Hmm.. been a while since i blogged here. Haha. It's coming to the end of Nov and exams r coming! Ahhh! But it applies for most ppl i guess.. so i am not alone.. I shld not be complaining that much.. Haha. Missing family n frens back home but glad that there r gd frens n ocf here to help me and guide me. Gonna miss adelaide in some ways when i go back to s'pore.. but home is still the best.. :-). For ppl who r reading my blog, i'll b going back to s'pore on 16th Nov.. 2 days after my last exam.. Keke.. Then going Sydney for my sis's graduation. Then going back s'pore again till Feb. Gonna b year 2 next year! So exciting! Haha.. It's gonna b a new feeling, n learning more difficult stuff.. but it'll b worth it i guess.. Time sure files.. smtimes. Anyway, wishing all my frens, both here n in s'pore all the v best in their examinations. Catch up with ya all when i am back! Cheers! Signing off from adelaide.. back to study.. :-(

Mid-Sem Break is HERE! & Final Fantasy 7 ROX!!!

Yay! Wahaha.. finally mid sem break is here! The long awaited break. Signifies the end of the sem is coming! After that can go home lo. Yahoo! But of cos mus cross the exam hurdle 1st.. Jus went toys'r'us today with frens.. saw so many toys n gadgets! Kids these days sure r lucky.. not saying i am not lucky.. but there's just so much variety of stuff to play with n learn! Also went for dinner at another fren's college.. Hee hee. not supposed to.. but who cares! Played some CS n learnt more abt DotA.. also knwn as warcraft. Haha. The best part was the movie! Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children. Even though i nvr played the games b4 i truly appreciated and enjoyed the movie. The CG graphics r superb n the storyline is cool. Overall, this CG movie ROX! 5 Stars! Haha.. Hmm.. haven't got much planned for this break, except prob go to new shopping centres, play some games, n of cos do some study.. have been slacking more this sem, prob cos subjects not too heavy.. but still need to buck up nevertheless! Exams r crawling nearer n nearer! To those in s'pore, holidays r over i suppose.. only 1 week. I have 2! Yay! Haha.. yeah study hard everyone! Will b back sooner than u think! :-)

1st week in uni!! Learnt a lot...

Well, the 1st week of uni has passed, and i must say things r much harder than the 1st semester but at least this sem is shorter, kinda. Hee. Can go home faster. However the speed of teaching will surely b faster as i can already see from the 1st week. Well, 2nd week starting soon and the weeks are jus gonna fly by i suppose.. and b4 u knw it it's exam time! Everyone back in s'pore.. those in uni also started their 1st week i guess, hope every1 is doing ok.. whether in studies, jobs, etc. I jus realized this week that there are a lot of ppl ard the world who are being persecuted for their faith and they do not even have bibles.. that is so sad.. bible league is offering to help by getting donations, missions, etc. I pray that i can help them by contributing a little to help supply the desperately needed bibles.. i knw in China this also the case.. but i believe that the growth of a person or the church in these tougher environments are better n stronger than in areas where christianity is allowed to b practised freely. He is simply amazing and wonderful and powerful. :-) enjoy and have a blessed 2nd half of the year!! August is here already! Yay!

Back in adelaide.. a new start to a new semester

Jus arrived this morning.. quite lucky had quite a smooth flight n crossing customs, etc.. Well here i am back in adelaide for my 2nd semester.. but i kinda regret coming back to early. Darn. Now all alone in college stuck with those ang mohs and delegates. Sigh. Sch starting soon.. gotta buck up for a new semester! Still no mood to study though. Haha. i guess every1 feels the same once holidays end. Wishing every1 a blessed brand new start to a new semester! This semester is shorter than sem1 but i guess that means the lecturers gotta squeeze more stuff in less time = more work for us! Haha. Anyway i dun mind. Jus wanna finish off this sem faster then go on to year 2! Yeah. Haha. So long haven't blogged.. Didn't have time back in s'pore.. n now in adelaide it's middle of winter. freaking cold! Haha. so diff frm s'pore. which is so steaming hot n humid.. My dear is back ald too.. but only managed to meet her for 1 day b4 leaving back! Well, i guess that's life.. she had to come back late for exchange in germany.. So i spent most of my time with family.. jus go out.. shopping. Haha. Boring smtimes.. but definitely better than adelaide shopping! Well, gtg upack more nw.. have been lazy n dun feel like unpacking.. sigh. all alone now.. no one in college.. :-( 3 days b4 my college mates return..

Exams finally almost over!!! :-)

Yay! Exams almost over! Haha. Gd gd.. going home on wed. I hope i pass everything.. Finally going back home after 5 months! Miss home, miss the food, miss friends, miss family, but i dun miss the hot humid weather. Haha. It's gonna be so much of a strange transmission. Haha. The weather, traffic, hdb flats. Hee. Can't wait for my last paper on tue to b over. But i have to admit, had a wonderful experience here in adelaide. Will miss the church n ocf gatherings here though. I'll b back on 20th july.. ready for a whole new semester of studies again. I must say studying in asssie isn't as easy as i thought it would be. Most ppl think it's easy but trust me it's not. The uni has really challenged me to work hard and to understand things from a new perspective. It's tough but nothing in the world is easy. Oh yeah, mother theresa movie is showing in adelaide soon i think n my church is selling tickets. Wanna watch but can't.. sigh. Watched a trailer in church, and i think it is a wonderful and inspiring movie even though i haven't watched it yet. Mother theresa said something that struck me and i will remember it for as long as i live. She said, "I am only a pencil in the hands of God, He is the one who writes.".. Such words of wisdom and such a woman of God she is!! It is so so true. We are only here on earth to fulfil what God wants us to do, so that His name can be heard and glorified all over the world.. He Loves us so much... oops. Gtg study for my last paper ald.. I think the next blog(Which will b quite some time) i will put up will b frm S'pore! Haha. Hurricane season starts in June in Florida where I live and probably where a lot of you who read this live. Last year we were hit very hard by a hurricane and it caused a lot of destruction. The place where my cousin lives was hit by two hurricanes and that was unusual, I am told. Hurricanes can cause property damage, trailers to be overturned, roofs to be blown off, and a lot of other devastation.

There are hurricanes that are a lot more harmful. We have hurricanes of divorce, drugs, alcohol, abuse of children, spouses, the elderly, and broken homes. While the hurricanes on land can cause destruction, eventually the homes and property will hopefully one day be restored. It is not that simple with a human life.

It is vital for us to examine our hearts and see if there is something that is displeasing to Jesus, something that might be hindering our fellowship with Him. If our hearts are not right before Him, then it is impossible to treat others with the love and compassion that He asks us to display to others.

Is your heart and life full of hurricanes of jealousy, bitterness, envy, strife, anger, and resentment? If so, then I urge you to go to God and let Him calm the storms in your heart. Jesus will shower you with His Peace, Understanding, Love, and Compassion and place His Love in your heart instead of the hurricanes of the world.

Where is God in my studies???

Are you always putting pressure on your academic results and spending most of your time achieving them? Or are you having the “heck care” attitude in your studies and would rather spend your time on your hobbies?

Being too absorbed in your studies is not all you should be focusing on. Romans 9:32 says this about being too busy: “They [Israelites] were so absorbed with their ‘God projects’ that they didn’t notice God right in front of them, like a huge rock in the middle of the road” (The Message). These people had good motives, but they missed the whole picture – that is, seeking God in all they do.

What about those of us who have been neglecting our schoolwork? Do we have difficulty in studying? We can depend on God who will help us in everything we do, by making the yoke light. “Take my yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you shall find rest for your souls” (Matt 11:29; NIV). God has instructed us to exercise the gifts and talents He has given to us, and do our best at school out of love and devotion to God. So keep this in mind – God is with us in everything we do, so trust Him to guide and lead us according to His will.

Keep growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Well, the exams r finally coming. My 1st exam in 3 years.. not that i'm trying to boast or anything.. but it is indeed a fact worth considering.. my brain is not usually functioned to exam mode this time of the year, but sigh, gotta force myself to do so.. at least for the next 3/1/2 yrs! Haha. Had a great time in a new church called southside. Used to go to AACC, but since a fren of mine introduced this new church to me i can't stop going to it every sunday. Really a great church to be in a blessed team of pastors n leaders they have. I miss my s'pore chruch too.. new creation n amk methodist. 1 is contemporay n the latter is traditional. Looking forward to coming home! Wonder if my frens all forgotten abt me already. Haha.. Hope not! S'pore i'm coming back! Count on me! Not! Haha.. I am not a v patriotic person.. :-)

So many things happening...

Well, the exams are really closing in, and many of my frens r stressed. My dear is already in Germany and i wonder how she is doing in a foreign country so far away. Miss her so much. Was rushing for so many assignments that we due almost on the same day.. Until i found out that a fren was going back to S'pore today. Her dad passed away. I really feel for her and it seems like a repeat for what happened to me last sem. It's really scary. But she's strong in faith and she's still coming back to take the exams and complete her studies. She said she was grieving but felt peace in her heart. God's peace was really upon her. Praise The Lord! He never fails to comfort us when we are down and He's always with us, no matter what circumstances we may be in.. I will not b anxious abt the upcoming exams, but jus do my best. N leave te rest to God. Everyone should too.. :-)
