A Happy and Sad Wednesday

Haha, For the 1st time today, i went out to rundle mall to shop a bit n to cut my hair. Iit was really my 1st time out of uni on a weekday, other than fri when i have ocf meetings. Hee. Engineers really dun see daylight. Haha. It was a pleasant experience n nw i knw where to get my hair cut! Haha. It's only a $14 n it's actually a hair stylist who cuts yr hair! Quite worth it i should say. I am so used to going to a barber while in s'pore that i feel so happy jus going to a hair salon in adelaide! Haha. Ya, then went ard kia kia a while 1st since i had no appt, i had to wait a while b4 my turn. Gosh, the mall was so croweded, compared to the easter weekend where virtually no one was ard. Haha. Weird.. Then came my sad part, went for a class n ended up with tons to do.. It's actually bcos of the mon easter holiday that i am suffering so much nw. Haha, but ya, anyway no pt complaining nw..

Easter In Adelaide

Well, this is my 1st easter away frm sing n i must say it is quite diff celebrating it away frm family n with ocfers. Ocf pres brought us to eat an australian "delicacy" called AB's, which was supposedly meant to stand for "abortion" and jokes n rumours went around to say that the dish, which was mainly some meat looking thing with fries and lots of sauce (Rather unhealthy i must say!) was actually something left behind after an abortion. Haha, ya but anyway one of my frens got quite concerned abt eating it when told that it was actually the "placenta", which was what a woman leaves behind after she gives birth or has an abortion. So typically u can say some ppl think that we are eating the aborted baby! Haha. N the chilli sause made it more convincing cos it looked like blood! Haha. But it was actually onli a lamb dish. Haha. I still not sure y they called it that name though. Hmm.. And after that we went to fren's home on thur night to have some fellowship and learnt how to play "tai ti"> poker cards. Haha. It was fun n entertaining. The house was amazingly huge n they had a dog n cat staying together! Haha. Then on gd fri morn went to church for service n had steamboat at night.. Yum yum.. :-) .. Haha

Open Up the Gates

VERSE:

We come into this holy place to bring a sacrifice of praise,
Bow down before You and seek Your face.
We sing of the mighty things You’ve done, cry out to You, “Let Your will be done,”
Tell all the world You’re the Holy One.
Hear the shouts of praise as they’re rising up to You.
Come and fill this place as we bring glory to Your name.

CHORUS:

Open up the gates and let the King of glory in.
Fill this house with praises as we lift our hands and worship You.
Open up the doors and let Your glory fill the earth.
King of Heaven, we dance before Your throne.
King of Heaven, we dance before You.
King of Heaven, we dance before Your throne.

BRIDGE:

King of Heaven, come and take Your place;
Dwell among us as we seek Your face.

Bro Yun in Adelaide

Today was a very fruitful and wonderful day. Went to church to have a combined service in one of the churches and bro yun was there to speak to us about God's word and the back to Jerusalem movement. He is indeed a humble and God loving man.. and you can just feel God's power in him as he speaks and when he prays for ppl. Went up during alter call and so did many many others. Bro Yun jus went around healing and praying for us. His prayers are so powerful and touching. Even though he does not speak english and he needed an english interpreter to be able to speak to the aussie crowd, I feel he still did manage to get the message across. That is to trust God and sit at his feet and listen to his word. And that he still loves us no matter what we become or where we may be. It was such an honor to meet him and his prayers are so moving and touching. I admit i broke down too. I don't know y.. When he touched and prayed for me, as did many ppl lay their hands on me, i jus felt at peace and know that i am well taken care of. Many of my frens went up to get prayed also. And it is just so amazing that Bro Yun is able to endure so many sessions of this kind of meetings. There's another one this evening at 6pm.. I pray that many ppl's lives will be touched and transformed by him too.. I knw mine was. :-)

Another Boring Weekend

Spent almost the whole weekend at college.. What a super duper boring weekend.. to make things worse, the weather was a steaming 35 degrees! I don't really know how to do most of my work, so it is either i am stupid or the assignments are a little tough. I dunno but i just hope it won't be like that during the exams! I don't know how much more weekends i can endure like that. But it's not as if i have a choice. I have tons to do every week and have no time to waste. Anyway it is also not as if there are much places n things to do here anyway. Sigh. Back to my work n boring evening.. missing everyone back home..
